| CASA DUCHI is about
1 km from the village of CALZOLARO, UMBRIA,
half an hour north of PERUGIA.
Rome, Bologna and Florence are each about two hours away. The area is rural and picturesque and the locals extremely welcoming. Calzolaro itself has shops including a grocer, post office, garage, coin operated laundry, two pleasant restaurants and a church. Pecorino cheese is made in the village.There are excellent opportunities for walking, horse riding and golfing, all within easy reach. AIM TO VISIT some of the beautiful towns such as Assisi (40 mins), Gubbio, Siena, Citta di Castello (with markets twice a week), Lake Trasimeno (half an hour away), Cortona (40 minutes), Rubino, Ravenna, Arezzo, San Sepolcro. Admire some of the amazing art to be found locally e.g Piero della Francesca etc. |

| GETTING THERE
.......... The nearest airport is Perugia (40 mins) then Forli (1 1/2 hrs) and Ancona (2 hrs), all of which are served by Ryanair from Stansted. There is an easyJet flight from Bristol to Rome. Other airports are at Rimini, Florence and Pisa. If you'd rather drive and take in the beautiful countryside, Calais to Casa Duchi is 900 miles |
